Position Overview

As a Payments Platform Architect, you’ll join a collaborative Architecture function working closely with Development, Infrastructure, QA, and Product. You’ll influence platform-wide decisions, guide technical direction, and help engineering teams deliver resilient, scalable, and innovative payment solutions. We’re a team built on shared expertise, open communication, and a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our technical strategy and shaping how we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for our global payments ecosystem.
  
• Lead high-impact initiatives, migrations, and strategic technical decisions.
  
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient payment flows with strong observability.
  
• Shape distributed, event-driven systems across multiple markets and business units.
  
• Guide engineering teams, elevate technical standards, and influence roadmap direction.
  
• Partner with Product to bring new payment capabilities from concept to launch.
  
• Ensure compliance-by-design for KYC, AML, fraud and regulatory considerations.

Requirements

• Experience with digital wallets, tokenized payment flows, payment gateways, and hybrid fiat/crypto systems.
  
• Good understanding of crypto rails, smart contracts, custody models, and transaction risk management.
  
• Familiarity with KYC/AML in crypto environments.
• Proven ability to design distributed, scalable, and resilient systems.
  
• Strong grasp of the SDLC and modern Agile frameworks.
  
• Excellent communication skills—able to articulate strategy and influence stakeholders.
  
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment across engineering and product.
  
• Creative problem-solver with strong business awareness.
  
• Bonus: Experience with microservices, micro front ends, real-time streaming, or medallion architecture.
