Finance Analyst - Accounts Payable

Position Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to play a key role in supporting financial decision-making across the business. This role combines financial reporting, data analysis, and business partnering to provide actionable insights that drive performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring integrity across all daily
transactions. - Prepare and manage payment runs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and
compliance with internal controls. - Conduct reconciliations for banks, payment providers, and suppliers, identifying
and resolving variances promptly. - Deliver monthly management accounts up to Trial Balance, providing meaningful
commentary and variance analysis. - Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, including
financial modelling and scenario analysis. - Assist with audit requirements and prepare financial information for external
auditors. - Ensure compliance with VAT and tax regulations, preparing and submitting timely
returns. - Develop and implement strong financial policies, procedures, and internal
controls. - Produce management-level reports and dashboards that translate financial data
into actionable insights. - Contribute to due diligence processes by providing accurate and timely financial
data. - Partner with the management team on ad-hoc projects, including strategic
reviews and business case analysis. - Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate
reporting, and improve efficiency in financial operations.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent professional background.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and management accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to non-
- financial stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
